Dance in the Sunshine

The weather has been so beautiful.
Home from the beach, and all unpacked.
Sand still in weird places...our garage, and car...
Have some new organic cotton sheets.
Washed and hung outside in the sunshine to dry.
Amazing.
Found myself looking for things made of hemp and organic cotton...
I did this in the past, and who would have known that having kids would bring me back...
So weird.
I have also noticed other changes in myself.
The fact that I just take the mess one day at a time and it does not really seem to bother me.
Xavier made a peanut mess at the store the other day, and I found them in my bag, seriously.
That is life as a mother, peanuts in your purse, I guess.
I love every second of the crazy laughter.
I will always wish for control, lists, organization...
In the end what is best for me is this beauty. The Unexpected.

So, I had a good morning phone call with an old friend, thank you, Keri.
We shall have another phone date again soon, and get the kids together for a play date...

I was delivered beautiful flowers at lunch time this afternoon.
I would like to thank my husband. He is so wonderful. I love my flowers.
They are fall colors with fall butterflies...

I had a lovely evening at the park and toy store.
I would like to thank Rach. and Kadi. for spending the evening with us.
We had a lot of fun and good times...

I came home to an empty house with the garage door and door leading to it open!!!
I am at home alone for almost three days!

Back 2 School...

I was given an amazing back to school gift.
A brand new backpack with patches of plaid, 'cause I am crazy for plaid.
A new flash drive that says, "grow trees" with a lovely tree on it.
Earth friendly notebooks and folders to match.
And a brand new, tiny, so cute, green Dell laptop!
Oh and did I mention that my husband even went to the bookstore to get my books for this semester...
I am a very lucky girl!
Excited to start the semester, even if it does start the week I will be on vacation.
What better place to read school type things than on the beach...
Now, if I could just get him to move the boxes by the fireplace he would be perfect, and I mean perfect.

Doing things around the house, the boys room is finished, with the exception of the closet door, which is on its way.
Playroom is finished, beautiful, and amazing.

Xavier will have his big boy bed this Friday.
Not sure what we will do with our day today.
We usually do the same thing every week on Thu.
Library and Childrens Museum. But it was raining and Xavier slept in...
Just not sure...
For now he is having some cereal and we are just having a lazy calm morning.
Laundry and tons of laundry to wash, fold, and put away.
Oh the joys of moving, packing, unpacking, cleaning...
I am happy to have a vacation soon.
I just keep thinking about the beach. Sunshine.
I am happy to have my husband home this weekend. This was unexpected and wonderful.
So, time to start our day.
Time to go play cars with Xavier.

I have finished two amazing books and just in time for school to start.
Yay for not being able to sleep at night and having a beautiful sun room to read by the moonlight...
In other news I am in the process of another green spree.
I have rid our house of all plastic dishes and found natural wooden ones for Xavier.
I have decided no more toys that take any sort of battery. I have also taken them out of almost every toy we decided to keep.
Yuck to things that are not natural.
My brother has started calling us dirty hippies.
The new house is becoming more of a home everyday, and I am excited about painting and changing a few things.
By spring all that should remain are the things I want to plant outside and pulling up some ugly bushes.
School starts soon but so does our vacation.
Hello, orange beach and the never ending dig dig for Xavier.
Our codo is on the beach and amazing and was not really all that expensive. Yay for a vacation.
Have a great book in mind for beach reading.
Soon baby Vaylen will be here! Not long at all.
We are in the process of making this his new home.
Looking for organic and natural toys for X-Mas and B-Day gifts.

Invasion!

Oh My, I am so over it all!
Xavier is having lunch, and I need a place to rant.
So, of course the computer is always a good choice, plus I think Jess and Joe are the only people in the world who read this thing...
Anyway,
We have had another invasion.
I just don't understand how she is involved in this.
Not even really mad just realize that this is an issue that we will have over and over again.
Family is family and I married into this one, sucks, but whatever.
Long story, Short Version:
Things with our house have turned into quite a mess, nothing fixed correctly or on time.
Running out of time and money.
Just tired of it and stressed.
Then also having to deal with people who have proven that they do not have the best interest of our family at heart.
Your own agenda, party of Monica and Randy, your table is ready!
...
Blah.
Anyway, it is just a bit hard to be a mother, and try to keep people out of your life who do not have the
best interest of your family and children in their minds and hearts.
I am a bit of a freak when it comes to things like this.
Everything we do, every second of our lives is for our family and the best our kids can have in all aspects of their lives.
It is just sad when these people are part of your family.
I am a bit annoyed. I just hope this all ends soon. We are going to be moved in by Aug.1st, and maybe that will be the end of the invasion.
I truly hope.
Until then I will close my eyes, take a deep breath, and hope.

I'm sorry we have not talked lately, and I do seriously miss you so so much...

Things are beyond crazy for our little family at the moment.
I know that in the end it is all for the best, and I just keep trying to close my eyes and take a deep breath.
The new house has turned out to be much more work than expected.
The fix things guy, I am sure they have a name, anyway, lets just say he did not work out.
So, that put us in a position to do things ourselves and find someone new to hire at the last minute.
The list is just endless.
We do not have a lot of free time. Now we have no free time. We walk in our house late, give Xavier a bath, and crash into the bed.
Then we wake early, before the sunshine on most days and we do it all over again.
There is so much to be done.
Oh Blah.

My aunt will be here Sunday. This is good because it gives us someone to help with cleaning and watching Xavier.
Plus she is just amazing.
My birthday is soon. I have big plans.
Had to take care of some things with IUPUI. Oh that school...
Anyway, things are good to go.
However, most people act like I am crazy for making a move like this and then going back to school while having a family and being pregnant.
It is a bit crazy, but like I said, in the end all for my family. I always do what is best for my kids.
Taking two online courses will not be a big deal because I will know the exact date of my c-section.
That way I can work things out with school...
As for the move, well, when the new house is done it is all for our kids.
They will have a huge yard, a nice and larger home. The things is that they will have a home instead of a house.
So, I will get through this and look back knowing that I did it all for my kids and it was all worth it in the end.

I think Xavier and I are going to have a lazy day today, do some cleaning and pack a bit.
We will have some lunch and I will give him a bath. We have not been able to have a day like this in so long.
Just to be at home and play.
We have been working on shapes and colors. Oval, Heart, Circle, sometimes Square...
He also knows green, red, sometimes blue...
We count to ten and sing out ABC's, we sing silly songs and read tons of lovely children's books...
...

So, in the end things are the worst kind of busy here these days, and there is not an end in sight.
I miss having some time to talke with friends or to just sit down for a minute.
However, things are good, and changing daily, changing for the better.
Nothing comes without hard work, and my family is going to be much better off once the move is over.
Tomorrow Xavier has a doc apt and then we are going to pick out the new carpet and hope it is put in very soon.

Dads Days

Happy Dads day to all dads, my own, and my wonderful husband...
He got one of his gifts, a watch, a bit early...
Xavier is now the proud owner of a new "waggie" and a power wheels.
I can not wait to see him use them at the new house.
We had one of the best weekends ever.
An unexpected Friday off work for Phil.
Time together as a family.
We went to the pool and Xavier is such a water baby.
Poor little guy has had a fever for the past day and a half.
We were up most of the night last night and because Phil was at work it was a long night...
My little guy, I hope he feels better today...
We have some errands to run this morning.
A dinner at my parents this evening.

These days I drive a Lexus. Oh goodness.
I need a haircut. Just a trim, but who has the time...
I am reading tons.
I need to pack and wish things would pack themselves or I had some magic powers.

Dirty Feet

I always have dirty feet in the summer.
I have toe nails painted bright pinks and orange...
I love not wearing shoes.
I love doing work on our new house.
We have spent a few days working on the yard.
The new driveway is on its way...
Almost there.
Almost moving day.

Vaylen and I have a doc. apt. this afternoon.
I hope they will be able to tell me a closer date for my c-section.
We talked about asking for the 14th because Xavier's b-day is Dec. 14th.
Ha, and they will be 14 months apart.
Plus we have punky and kadibug's birthdays very soon after our due date.
Then of course it is Halloween and everyone knows how I am about fall...
My aunt is talking about coming back from Texas to stay with us and help for a while.
She is amazing in a way no one could every understand.
I have no grandparents and she is like an amazing aunt and grandma all in one.
She sends things for the kids. She spends her time and money so that she can be involved with our family.
She just loves us, and we love her for being such a wonderful lady.
We are sending out hope for Phil to win the bid for med 50...
That would mean day shift and more money...
So, eyes closed and make a wish.
Xavier is watching Little Bear.
His new things is Finding Nemo. He calls him Nomomo...
Reading two amazing books now, thanks to my mom for loaning me the second.
I think a trip to the library is in the works for today.
Maybe a smoothie.
Maybe an afternoon nap while it rains.

It is a cool car, and if you believe me, it has four doors...
Just not sure about the American car thing, I am strictly a driver of cars that are little and made in Japan.
My car still has the made in Japan sticker on it, like a little toy car with a little promise not to break everyday.
Thinking about X-Mas. Yep, I know it is summer, but I am the plan girl, afterall.
We are going to cut down a real tree this year and we will have a fireplace to go with it all...

Enjoying my summer sunshine.
Days of playing at the park and naps with a box fan.
Enjoying a life that is television free.
Having a calm sense of myself.

Xavier has storytime at the library and summer reading program.
We spend some afternoons playing with kids at my parents. A yard full of wonder and pretend.
Thankful.
Ready to move.
Waiting to meet Vaylen.
Watching Xavier grow into an amazing little boy.
Reading books with my son.
Listening to classical music while he plays in his room.
Finding a love in my marriage that I can not begin to describe.
It is not something I can explain, this relationship, this love, friendship.
We have made a lovely little team and we have worked together to build such a beautiful life.
Xavier has started to turn my rings around and hold my hand against his face when he falls asleep.
It almost brings tears to my eyes. Such a beautiful little moment. So small, but one of the most important of my entire life.
The remodel of our new house bathrooms has started. I love to go visit and see the progress.
We have new never need to be cleaned rain gutters coming this week.

Love the idea of having two little boys. We are so past excited. It is all we can talk about most of the time.
Going to spend the morning with my mom, Rach, and KadiBug tomorrow.
I am in a good place. The kind of place that is like an old quilt and cup of hot chocolate, quiet snow, or fall leaves...
Nothing is perfect, that is not what I would ever wish of...
Things are real. They are beautiful and full of laughter and love. Every day is an adventure.
A strange calm. The realization that you are exactly where you belong and surrounded by imperfect perfection.
I am enjoying my summer dirty feet.
The smell of sunscreen. The daydreams of a new home and a second child.
Our future. Yet, I am living each second more slowly these days. I am not being a list maker, cleaning and organizing...
It has just started to come to me in a way that is natural. No longer unhealthy but calm and soft.

We are going to have a baby boy this Oct! Xavier will have a little brother!

Xavier and I have found the best park.
It does not have much shade but we go so early in the morning that is not a big deal.
It is new and clean and close to home.
It has an amazing area for kids his age and a path for walks...
We have been spending our mornings there playing in the warm sunshine.
Everything seems to be going great for our move, bids have been accepted and things are moving along.
We hope to be in by the end of July.
I am in the process of picking out paint colors and flowers.
I am so excited to have more room and a house that is not in a cookie cutter complex.
We will have trees and nature and a huge yard.
A big long driveway for the boys to ride their bikes.
So, long story short we are excited to move and in the process of packing...

We no longer have cable television, and it is a breath of fresh air.
Heard my second child's heartbeat this afternoon.
Ultrasound this Friday!
Things are good. We spend a lot of time outside these days.
My aunt sent me tons of maternity things. She rules.
Reading tons of things ...
Finished my semester with great grades and a sigh of relief.
So far everything is good to go for our move to our new big house.
I really want it all to work out.
I want that big yard full of trees for hugs.
My house is back to the cleannessish type of house it is when I do not have school.
I have been doing some baking of organic type things. More plans for this summer...
Making quilts out of baby things for the kids.
Going to the Childrens Museum once a week. We love it.
Going to take a walk at the park tonight.
Spending time with family.
Visited Phil at the fire station and Xavier drove the fire truck, every little boy's dream.
Wish my husband did not have to work tonight.
Time to go hang out with my family and those kinds of things...

Making Organic Food...

In good news I will still finish and graduate on time and the money will be here this fall.
This means I have the entire summer off to spend with my family and friends.

Rain Thunder Clouds

I love the rain. I just hate that Xavier can not play outside.
If I can live through this week my semester is pretty much over.
I have two online classes each summer session.
No more Gymboree for the summer. We are just too busy.
We have already went to the Childrens Museum and the Zoo.
I have to write a ten page paper today during naptime. Wish me luck.
Atleast it is about an amazing author and linking her stories to folklore and fairy tales...
Trying to think a bit more about where we spend our money and if these are the best places for it.
Going to have a lazy day with Xavier besides a bit of cleaning.
My new favorite thing that Xavier does is find things and hide them.
Sometimes they go in the seat to his little car or push toy.
It is sometimes a little book of mine or car keys, sometimes a new toy car from daddy.
It is just so amazing to see him collect these small treasures.

Playing outside in the yard, at the park, making plans for summer days at the pool...
Listening to Bob.
Thinking of being those weird people without cable. We just don't watch our TV at all, I mean ever.
Finally being able to have some time for learning to knit, sewing, reading, and baking soon.
Making plans for our future.
Stalking anyone with a cool double stroller so we can ask them where they found it...
Oh the mom stroller envy. It is a crazy thing. I have had many people chase me down and ask about ours.
Taking our own food instead of eating gross food or fast food...
Trying to clean out things we do not use and keep life organized.

Beauty Blessings Bubbles

Had a phone date with an amazing old friend this morning.
Made some plans to take the kids to the zoo.
It is beautiful. Windows open. Sunshine!
Going to spend my afternoon and evening outside.
First a trip to the mall. Then the rest of the day at the park.
A packed dinner of peanut butter type things...
...
Went to the Earthday Festival yesterday.
Was given nonplastic bags for free to add to our collection.
Please no plastic. It is awful.
Spend some time with other people who buy expensive organic things.
Talked with Amy about the organic farm in Zionsville and going to visit, buy things and see cows soon...
Went to the fire station where Phil works and Xavier now has a new favorite dog he captured from there.
He carries him around by the ears. So cute, thinking of naming him something to do with the station.
Oh if you had told me that my husband would work at a job where he saves lives, and is considering doing so and being a firefighter...
Goodness. I mean I love that he loves it but I worry so much. I am always blessed to see him come home safe.
Is IFD in our future. We will just have to see. ...

This semester is almost over.
Going to spend my summer finishing up and then graduation time!
Taking the fall to be with the babies. Oh it will be a nice break.
Then it is back to work in the Spring and starting my Masters that fall.

Just Because

EEG results came back with no seizures, but that does not rule them out.
Oh what a stress. The good thing is that we have an apt with an eye doctor at Riley.
We did catch the episodes on tape so we will have something to show the neurologist.
Anyway, we are going to have a garage sale this weekend.
I am so ready. Things are cleaned out and just about ready to go.
I think I am the only person who washes and cleans things before putting them in a garage sale.
Counting down the days until this semester is over.
Ready for a change.
When we found our house lease to own I realized that this was a perfect situation.
We loved the house and it was what we could afford at the time, but not what we truly wanted in the future.
Well, I guess not buying as soon as we found the house was a blessing.
We have outgrown this house with a new baby on the way.
I realize that I was correct in assuming that I can not live in a housing community.
I want land and space.
Also the what we can afford will change so much in just a short time.
I will graduate this summer and Phil will graduate medic school this winter.
This will change what we can afford and then in a year he will be a nurse and his pay will go up even more.
A year after that I will have my masters, and I realize that if we can hang on until then we will not have to settle.
We will in fact be able to find our dream home and we will be able to look for houses that are three times more expensive than this one.
So, while it has been a good home full of memories and love I think it is time for this family to have a change.
We have already started to look for land in the Center Grove area.
Who would have ever expected me to want a house in the country? Well, country close to the city anyway.

I have been feeling really good for the beginning of this pregnancy.
I actually forget that I am pregnant quite often and no one who does not already know has seemed to even notice.
Maybe it is because I am very busy this time and I had a bit more free time with Xavier.
Anyway, things are good.
Waiting for Phil to come home and grill out some dinner and have some family time.
Need to finish garage sale things...
Need to do an online test this evening.
I am going to go lay down with Xavier and enjoy some peace and quiet time...

Are you Organic?

Found good organic items for a good price in a weird place.
EEG came back with a good result but a not so good guessing game.
Meeting with more doctors and it may just be that Xavier needs glasses...
In the end I am just taking things one second and one day at a time.
My aunt sent us a wonderful gift. She is amazing.
I am so ready for this semester to be over I just want to fast forward.
Going to have some lunch, give Xavier a bath and then take a nap.
We will play outside and go for a walk once Phil is home from school and then have dinner...
Xavier is really into some Play-Doh. It just smells so bad. Also I refuse to mix the colors it freaks me out.

Fear like I have never known.
There are just so many different things that could cause or not cause this...
I have read so much about seizures or something that could look like a seizure,
my head is going to explode.
Xavier and I have a doctors apt. this morning.
He needs shots, and I remember the days when that was our biggest worry on doctor days...
I am sure it is nothing. I hope more than anything that it is nothing...
Then again, what a helpless feeling.

Mint Tea

I have a busy day today.
I will miss my boys.
Xavier is writing with a pencil and looking around like he is trying to find something to destroy.
It is easier but still weird to talk to those girls.
Maybe it is because they still do not know the person I am today.
Maybe it is because they do know the person I was at ten years old.
I am learning that how clean your house is or is not is never a reflection of how together your life is...
Wishing for graduation day.
Meeting Phil for lunch today because he is at Wishard.
Everyone keeps asking where the baby belly is, and of course it is on its way...
I have wanted to eat weird foods and eat the same foods for days, what else is new...

Since we moved to Hawaii I have had issues with Wal-Mart.
I should have had issues long before that but I just did not know the facts...
Anyway, I am not proud to say that I have used these stores for a while.
I try to shop at other places, but sometimes it is just easier or cheaper to shop at Wal-Mart.
Well, I am really trying to make a big effort to stop using this awful store forever.
They are mean to our earth.
They are awful to their employees, and the towns where they take over and shut down small shops...
The list goes on and on...
So, it has been a bit of a lifestyle change for us to shop other places and use our own bags.
These are things I feel strongly about, but they are not an easy change.

I wanted to use them with Xavier because they are chemical free, but he would only use a certain kind...
Long story short I have found a few that are a good price and I am excited about this.

Yesterday I bought a bumper sticker that says, "Trees are for Hugging!"
It is going to be cold again. One last big of winter.
Drink Hot Chocolate and watch some Gilmore Girls.
I am excited to use my Gymbucks...
For those who do not know what they are...
If you go to Gymboree you are given a coupon for the store in the mall and for every hundred dollars you spend you get fifty off...

Changes

So much has changed in just a short while.
All are changes for the best...
I love the rain. It calms me in ways I don't even understand.
Watching Gilmore Girls seasons, again.
Xavier is sitting at the table next to me coloring with marker.
They are the kind that only write on a certain kind of paper, but still....
He is such a big kid now. He has this look of doing some interesting homework.
Ha, and then he tries to color on his hair or face and he is one again....
We went to look at new vans yesterday. Yep, instead of my new SUV I am considereing a van.
I have quite a few reasons for this, the fact that we love our current van, and
that a new one would have so many options, tv's, headphones, room for the kids, their thing, and friends...
The prices are also a bit better, and so is gas milage.
So, ...
Xavier and I are going to stay home today.
We will nap while it rains.
We will play and I will do a bit of cleaning...
I picked my summer classes.
I have two online courses each session, and then I graduate.
This is something I am ready to finish and be on to the next step in my life.
I am really excited to work on my masters...
We have started a list of places we will take our kids and when we will take these trips...
Going to start my lazy Friday.

Thinking of changing the middle name if we have a girl, again.
I have started to like Arabele Esme instead of Lilly...
I think that giving your child a name is one of the best parts of being a new parent.
It is such an important decision. Plus...
If you are a parent and you go to any baby activities,
storytime, Gymboree, stuff like that...
The parents there are always interested in your child's name, and always ready to steal it for their next baby...
It is all a bit weird. Phil wants to start calling Xavier George or something.
It is funny because I think it is not so much the name, but the idea that your child
will go through his or her life as an individual and you want their name to reflect that.
Anyway,
Phil works all and I mean all weekend.
This is good because we will have the money.
This is not good because Xavier and I miss him when he is gone.
Have so much homework and thinking I may need to resort to asking for some sitter time from my mom.
Trying to decide if we should go to Gymboree this morning or not...

The weather was warm and I still did not clean out my car.
Guess I need a new excuse now...
We have been having wonderful family dinner time these days.
This one of the perks of a new grill and Phil's new job because he is home in time for dinner, usually.
He loves his job but I know that he has days that are beyond hard.
The other day he was very upset about a kid who was bipolar and had talked to him about Harry Potter.
Long story short this kid was sent to jail and his mother was in tears. All a sad situation.
He rescued a lady from a very bad accident. Her car had flipped quite a few times.
He also wanted to bring home a little girl who was so cute but not taken care of.
Her mother went to the hospital, little girl came with her, the mom just wanted drugs, passed out, and
the cute little girl was taken care of by the nurse who let her color at the nurse station...
I truly wish he could have just brought her home with him. Who can't use a cute little girl to love?
Anyway, again...

Xavier is watching Elmo and I am trying to figure out a plan for our day.
We have a few options.
All of them involves the fact that I simply have to do some homework soon.
I would much rather play with him and then nap.
Oh where has my Spring Break gone?
Eating Crackers for breakfast lunch and dinner...
Not too sick so far, but I have done all of this before and I know it is only waiting...
Guess it is time to start my day...

RainStorm

We will be having a new baby this fall.
Sometime around the beginning of Oct. !!!
Final names are Vaylen Phillip and Arabele Lilly.
Spent some time with my mom this afternoon.
Xavier had fun playing with his friends.
Went to the outlet mall. The weather was perfect, and we found a huge sale. Score.
It is going to rain any minute. I am so excited.
Laundry and then more laundry.
Our kitchen seems to always be a mess these days...
We have storytime tomorrow. Where did our week go?
Ready for warm weather that is here to stay and some time to plant flowers...
Phil worked his first big car accident today. He seems to have a busy day at the Beech Grove station...
So much homework to do...
We love our new grill. Yummy dinners for anyone who would like to visit.
